Our Program
The Gan at The Shul is a place where toddlers and young children from 16 months to 4 years old can learn and grow. Our full-day program runs Monday through Thursday, from 9 am to 3 pm, and on Fridays from 9 am to 2 pm. For those who prefer shorter days, we offer a regular day option until 12:30 pm. We also have part-time schedules available on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, or Tuesdays and Thursdays.
At The Gan, we believe in the power of play-based learning. We encourage children to explore and learn through their natural curiosity and imagination. Our teachers are trained to recognize each child's interests and incorporate them into our curriculum, making learning a fun and personalized experience for every child.
Our Community
The Gan Preschool is a project of The Shul Chabad Lubavitch in West Bloomfield, MI. For over 20 years, The Shul has been dedicated to sharing Judaism with Jews of all backgrounds and affiliations. We follow the Lubavitcher Rebbe's mission to make this world a better place through acts of goodness and kindness. Throughout the years, The Shul has been dedicated to children's education, from mommy & me programs to Camp Gan Israel and JEMS Sunday club. Additionally, The Shul is a community where everyone can feel cared for and connected. As we open The Gan, we are thrilled to be part of this warm and vibrant community.
Enrichment Opportunities
Grandfriends
The Gan partners with the Grandfriends program of The Shul to engage in intergenerational opportunities with seniors throughout the area. We welcome grandparents and friends to come share their talents, creating a well connected community.
Tot Shabbat
Each Friday the children at The Gan will get to celebrate the joy of Shabbat with challah baking and a Shabbat party with singing and dancing.
Nature Exploration
The Gan is nestled in the beautiful Chabad Lubavitch nature campus in West Bloomfield. Our students get to utilize the space with nature walks and exploration, discovering the wonders of nature throughout the seasons.
